Sidney Street Cafe will host a dinner on Monday, July 15, to benefit Share Our Strength’s No Kids Hungry campaign, which works to end childhood hunger.
Joining Sidney Street owner and chef Kevin Nashan in the kitchen for the event will be two Chicago standouts: Top Chef star Stephanie Izard of the Girl & the Goat and recent Food & Wine magazine Best New Chef Jason Vincent of Nightwood.
Michael Paley of Metropole in Cincinnati and local stars Gerard Craft of Niche, Kevin Willmann of Farmhaus and Sidney Street pastry chef Bob Zugmaier will also cook at the event.
“It’s an incredible program,” Nashan says of No Kids Hungry. He notes that the program has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the local food bank Operation Food Search, with which Nashan and many other St. Louis chefs work.
The event begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7. Each chef will present a course.
Individual tickets, available through the Share Our Strength website, cost $150. Special tables for six and ten are available for $5,000 and $10,000, respectively.
